Webley (International) Ltd (Webley) of Willenhall, West Midlands, UK, the iconic British Shooting company established in 1790, announced today the launch of two new additions to its range of ‘Webley & Scott’ small-bore shotguns, the 941G .410 calibre and the 928G 28ga Over and Unders.

“Our .410J junior dimensioned over and under, which is endorsed by both the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and the National Gamekeepers Organisation (NGO)has proved a huge success and has encouraged many young shooters to take up our sport. We are delighted to have been able, on the back of strong sales, to update the design of the gun, improving the quality of the wood-to-metal fit, the Turkish Walnut stock and forend and the packaging in the latest production batch said Mike Hurney, CEO of Webley. When attending consumer Game Fairs and Trade Fairs alike I have been increasingly asked âwhy don't you make an adults version? So we have gone one step further and are launching both an adult .410 and an all new adult 28ga he added.

The new shotguns weigh in at circa 2.7kg (6 lbs)and are choked Full and Modified (28ga) and Improved and Improved (.410). Both guns feature 26 barrels, ventilated top rib, solid middle rib, high quality Turkish Walnut stock & forend, manual safety, single selective trigger and bead foresight. The .410 is chambered for 3magnum and the 28ga for 2.75 cartridges.

In a recent survey of over 100 retailers, conducted by Gun Trade News, Webley & Scott shotguns were in third place as shotgun of choice behind Beretta and Browning with 8% of the market four times the market share of either Bettinsoli or Lanber -consolidating our position as the UKs fastest growing shotgun brand. These new guns  especially the 28ga  which is the fastest growing calibre in the UK  will only serve to build our market share further said Steve Hoare, Sales Manager, Webley.
